Dare you to read.... To the Military Spouse that had tears - TopicsExpress

Dare you to read.... To the Military Spouse that had tears welling in her eyes when she received a donated Thanksgiving Meal - thank you. Share the Spirit To the Military Service Member who asked for help and feeling somewhat ashamed he couldnt make ends meet on his own but had literally sold just about everything he owned personally to take care of his children - thank you. Share the Spirit To the Veteran who has made the decision between eating once a day and filling prescriptions or eating three times a day - my heart breaks for you. Share the Spirit Each of these wonderful people have come into my office this past week. Each of them leaving with a smile on their face. They had no idea that they were really blessing me. With their quiet thank you, firm handshake and a hug, they made me forget all about the ungrateful spouse who was outraged she didnt get something specific. They made me forget for a moment about the very unprofessional woman from another agency who was too tired to help the client that walked in her office and send her to mine. They alone made me remember that this season, the season of giving Thanks and preparing for Christmas is not about the greedy, rude, ungrateful humans that people like myself must tolerate because we have chosen to serve our community through a nonprofit. No, these three blessings disguised as humans showed me the importance of the Spirit and I want to share it with each of you. So for those who have taken the time to read this post in the hopes of hearing about a FREE giveaway because your significant other serves in the military - YOU are in LUCK! Please accept this FREE blessing from me to you, not because you are entitled - you are not; not because you or your family member serves in the military - that is irrelevant here; only accept this blessing if you believe in Sharing the Spirit and will gracefully and graciously let this post find a way to take root in your heart. Reach out to those you know are in need. Say a kind word to a stranger. Hug your family and friends. Laugh a little more. Start or continue a Holiday tradition. Remember you are a gift to the world - you alone have a purpose for being on this crazy planet amid violent protests, senseless murders, drug addiction and fatal diseases we pray for a cure for....YOU have a purpose to share the spirit. Before anyone gets their underpants in a bunch about this being a religious post - think again. This is a blessing of the human spirit to go forth and share goodness with others. If you interpret the post in a faith or religious based mentality - we have something in common. To everyone who takes a moment to remember that those that work hard every day to help others in need do so not looking for thanks or big salaries or bonuses and paid vacations like our corporate counterparts - we do it because we have the SPIRIT - the human spirit and we have chosen to help. Thank you for taking the time to read this - IF you have something to share that is positive and will Share the Spirit please feel free to do so by commenting - if you are at such a low and miserable place in your life that you find fault for my personal opinion or this post - take a deep breath before your respond. I wonder who will take the time to share this post.... Sharing the Spirit, Kim Scofi, President United Military Care
