Day 8 - the trip across the border from France to Italy taking in the Monte Carlo rally route was pretty cool and the views were spectacular - doubt the pics will do it justice. Passat oil issue seems to be resolved, however, it decided to start eating blades from the cooling fan causing a lot of vibration through the car! Solution this morning was to remove even more to balance it out again - so far so good! Coming down from the border the bike came back out but that was short lives following a burst tyre causing me and the bike to end up in a tree - thankfully not off the edge of a drop!! Slightly buckled wheel, torn tyre and inner tube and some scrapes and bumps means the bike might not make another journey for a while! Were minutes away from Pisa now and will see what all the fuss is about!
