Dear Aunt Tina Banda ,i want to share the story of my life.been married for many years.lets say 23 years.I only cheated on my wife 3 times and i used condoms during the time of cheating.My wife forgave me and we moved on.After 10 years,i did not know my wife too was cheating on me.I caught her once and she she admitted and only said she lost feelings for me.It was hard to believe but we were sat down by elders and reconciled.I forgave her.5 years down the line her health was not okay,she started forcing me to go for hiv test and i refused because i did not trust myself.The more she forced me,the more i hated her coz she was pushing me to do something i was never ready for.One day i traveled to a remote area for work and found some organisation that test for hiv near were i lodged.I picked up courage and went alone.They counselled me and i was honesty.When i was getting my results,i almost wanted to collapse because the way my wife was emphasizing on VCT was like she knew she was hiv+ and like am the one who infected her.The counsellor told me u are okay continue taking care of yourself.I could not believe it coz at this point,i felt death a little bit as i am scared of hiv alot.I was advised to do tests again and i did 3 times.Now i picked up courage to tell my wife that lets go for VCT.When we went,i was still negative and my wife HIV+.We have not been talking to each other for sometime coz their is alot of anger and tension.Fellow married men of this forum,what can you do if you were in my shoes?Thank you
