Dear Colleagues and Friends, This fall we are announcing our fourth annual Mary Schweitzer Scholarship- Excellence in Anthropology which supports outstanding and motivated students in financial need in the department of Cultural Anthropology in American University of Central Asia, Kyrgyzstan. Our aim is to promote excellence in Anthropology for future generations of anthropologists and we would like to invite you to be a part of it. How can you get involved? Each year we hope to support two or three outstanding students who have financial challenges and encourage them by providing a $1000 scholarship which is directed towards their tuition fees in American University in Central Asia (AUCA). We have collected already $1850 for this year and we need a little more to support at least two students. We would like to invite you to become a part of this endeavor to support the exceptional students and encourage the spirit of giving among the upcoming young generation. Your contribution of any amount will greatly help us to reach our goal. We are asking that your contributions for the scholarship year 2013-2014 reach us no later than the 10th of September, 2013.
