Dear Parents, Coaches, Soccer enthusiasts, Our Fall Soccer season is just around the corner and we are looking forward to another successful season. Our final registration period begins Saturday August 3rd and runs through Saturday August 17th. Registration forms are attached to this email as well as available at the planned registration events. Registrations will be accepted by mail (postmarked by 14 August) or in person on Tuesday and Thursday nights (6-7:30 pm) and Saturday mornings (9-11 am) at the Planer Mill Fields (at the corner of Hwy 190 and Planer Mill Rd in DeRidder). If there is enough interest, we would like to conduct new coach training during some of the registration events as well. To make this community’s soccer program as successful and productive as possible we need to expand our volunteer membership. There have been changes in our leadership to ensure we promote a positive soccer program here in Beauregard Parish. Specifically we need volunteers for board positions, public relations officers, coaches, field managers, special project officers, pick-up game supervisors and age division commissioners. If you are willing to volunteer for any of these or other responsibilities please send us an email. Our organization has been busy in the offseason. We conducted a very successful spring season; awarded $2000 in scholarships to four exceptional young graduates, started creation of an interactive website, made significant improvements to the field complex and lowered the registration price for Fall soccer. We also started a pick-up game program for players to play additional games on Saturdays which was hugely successful. We will also continue to support travel teams for players looking for more competitive opportunities.
