Dear Respected Doctors- Please spare your 5 minutes and provide feedbacks to upgrade and strengthen NDA.With the collective issues i.e.your comments and feedbacks, we can come up with qualitative analysis and win or lose ( Presidential Candidate ), the result could be used by the new executive committee to strengthen Nepal Dental Association (N.D.A) after all, its all about contributing for the betterment of the dental fraternity. Me and My Plan of Action : NDA being financially weak - thus the charges for membership and conferences which actually should be accessible if not free with sponsorships from units who feel conferences are a stepping stone and especially for younger generation of dental surgeons for sharing of the scientific datas. The plan is to form under NDA-research and ethical committee comprising representatives from all the institutes,dental bodies,wings...both gp and specialists along with student representatives following ( American Dental Association ) A.D.As American association for dental research ( A.A.D.R ). Following the digitalization of the dental fraternity and at par internationally with other countries dental institute and associations for collaborative and multi centric studies -both Nationally and Internationally. With this, there will be more sharing of the datas and opportunity for the whole fraternity.For more collaboration, well be forming the second wing of Public health dentistry,which we will doing the collaborative work with the indian,canadian counterparts along with British Health foundation. Well then form an Asian chapter with the counterparts and be at par with the european chapter and bring about collaborative works and researches. The digitalization of the fraternity would allow us to identify all the qualified and registered practitioners to which we then apply Geographical Information System (G.I.S) .The left overs automatically will be identified as less than fully qualified (L.F.Q) and would be much easier for higher authoritative policy makers. Well go through deep into the National Oral Health Policy,drafted earlier by Dr. Robert yee ,Dr.Mishra and other seniors. Recently, it was revised in the ministry with Dr shaili didi and others.We need to lobby for the implementation of the policy since its been more than a decade when the draft was first made but never implemented to the fullest. Even PHC is to have dental surgeons but we should lobby for the whole team required for the dental surgeon as we all know and seen the supply and the environment.we are waiting for its dissemination in the public.
