Dear every lovely human who has written to me to express your disappointment, astonishment, and sorrow that Wild is not being released in your city or region today: Im sorry! But please be patient. I promise it will soon come to wherever you are--in Minnesota and Maine, in Albuquerque and Spokane, in Europe and Australia and Canada, in Alaska and Alabama. There is a plan at work over which I rightly have no say and this plan was put into place by people who really, really want you to see the movie. I know Im speaking for everyone who worked on Wild when I say how honored we are that youre excited to see it. And to those of you in cities where its showing now, were deeply grateful that youve gotten (or will soon be getting) your heinies into those theater seats. You have filled my heart with your enthusiasm (and youve also filled my inbox!). Thank you, truly.
