Did you know that your tax dollars for public school repair and maintenance have been diverted for many years to private, charter schools? Over the past 3 years, 576 private charter schools received $200 million while Florida’s 3,600 public schools received $6M under the budgets approved by Gov. Scott and Republican-controlled legislature. This impacts all local schools and diminishes the educational environment for our kids.
