Do You Have a LIVING Will? Get One For Free Due to the overwhelming response we received on our “Last Will and Testament Promotion” (which ends 31 August 2013), it is clear that too many people neglect these important matters until prompted to do so in one way or another. In response to this, we are giving something away free of charge this time around which hopefully will further encourage everyone to ensure their ‘house is in order’. A Living Will is an important complement to your Last Will and Testament, as it is meant to address situations where, although you are still alive, you are unable to make decisions for yourself due to some form of incapacitation. For example, you are in a coma and being kept alive on life support, and the doctor confirms that even if you do recover from the coma, you have sustained massive brain damage and therefore you will most likely be in a wheelchair for the remainder of your life. In a situation like the one above, your spouse will probably know what you would have wanted, and if it was to stop the machines, your spouse can confidently approach the court, present the Living Will you signed before the incident, and the court will then decide on the outcome. The Living Will is a simple document, requiring only your name to be inserted and duly signed and witnessed. We have prepared this document and we wish to share it with all.
