Do commodity brokers, especially oil, get under your skin as bad as they do mine? Fuel prices up because of summer blends? You do know thats BS dont you? A modern car has an onboard computer that reads, monitors, and adjusts the fuel and ignition system so the car can run efficiently on any fuel at a specified octane rating. But oil people will have you believe that changing to summer blends creates shortages, creating higher prices. Funny, in a month those prices will be back down. Not because of some miraculous company recovery from producing those blends, but because people get tired of paying and start driving less. If we kept on driving the same, theyd keep on charging the same. Even funnier? Since we stop driving as much, there is another miraculous occurrence. Oil companies say they have more fuel to sell so that lowers the price. NO. The price comes down so well buy more, so they can raise the price again. Dont buy the lie that we only have a set number of refineries that limits production. Those refineries can produce gas faster than the US, Canada, and Mexico combined can use it. Without the Keystone pipeline, we should be paying $1.50 for a gallon. Which would lower the price on EVERY consumer good out there. I sometimes wonder if there is a special place in,,,,,,,,,,,, for those responsible, but they probably think Im stupid for charging fair prices for what I do.
