Do we even know why we get married anymore Sometime I find my motivation for my post through minding my own business and scrolling down my facebook timeline. Today’s popular topic seemed to be marriage. It made me think of why people get married. Yea you meet the one you think you will be with for the rest of your life and you fall in love and live happily ever after. But really, why are we getting married. After the love fades and you have a disagreement, or something shiny and new come around, or money problems start to occur, It seems people are quick to cheat, leave or divorce. Sad but true. I think many people don’t realize what marriage is. Sure you love someone so much you cant imagine life without them but what about the “real deal” What about partnership, fun, having someone to deal with the rough-times and the good times, Someone who has your back and who can help make life easier. How about someone to go on trips with, share living expenses with, raise children with. Someone that no matter how rich, how poor, How sick how well, through good and bad, the ups and downs How about the security of knowing that out of the millions of people in the world you know you have that 1 person that is going to always be there for you to count own. I don’t know about you… But that what I want out of my marriage.
