Do you run sluggishly and feel injured every time you run? The - TopicsExpress

Do you run sluggishly and feel injured every time you run? The longer your foot is in contact with the ground during each stride plays a part in repetitive injuries like shin splints and plantar fasciitis. This happens more while landing on your heels as opposed to landing mid-forefoot. You may notice, if you get hurt all the time that the more padded shoes you get, the more your injuries dont stop and you hurt in other areas such as your knees. This is because they make it even easier to heel strike. Some people, not all have had great success switching to barefoot shoes, or running barefoot altogether (not a guarantee it will reduce injuries especially if you have something else going on). Both allow your body to run the way it is intended. Try it out sometime, if you took your shoes off and jogged 20-20 yards you will find that you are running on the balls of your feet.
