Does anyone know how/why the driver download for the HP OfficeJet - TopicsExpress

Does anyone know how/why the driver download for the HP OfficeJet J6480 All-in-One will not install? I keep getting an error message that says HP CUE scanning component had to abort.... I have uninstall, re-installed, turn on/off, unplugged/plugged up, etc. for last two days. Now, Im blue in the face. I tried to buy the software on the HP site but it said that is unavailable. Ive tried the HP Scan Doctor, etc. Nothing makes the s/w download and install properly. If anyone can hep, let me know. This is enough aggravation to make me go out and buy the wireless Epson. I hate to do that since this printer has so many functions on it. The HP print documentation is 218 pages--yes, 218 pages!!
