Don’t Confront a Cheating Spouse Without Proof, a Plan, & a Purpose: Obviously you should confront a cheating spouse but confronting them without proof, a plan & purpose does not produce desires results; it often backfires. Gather ample indisputable evidence & lay out a plan. Choose the time & place carefully so you can discuss the affair at length without interruption. Do not ask your spouse if he/she is cheating. Cheaters always lie. Calmly present the evidence you’ve gathered that proves he/she’s having an affair - names, dates, places, times, absences, phone calls, text messages. physical evidence, etc. Calmly ask him some pointed questions about his affair: why he/she did it, how it started, how long it’s been going on, how he/she feels about the other person, what he/she intends to do now that you know. Listen carefully to his/her answers so you can accurately assess the situation. Then you’ll be able to make a wise decision about what course of action to take.|Trish
