Dramatic front page of Pakistan Today. Its great that Dr. Qadri has at the very end shown himself to be responsible enough to know its time to quit and end his dharna. It seems the government will drop charges against him and his workers for breaking the laws -- but still for that reason alone -- he should be banned from staging such dharnas in the nations capitol in the future. Truth is the real change, which came despite IK and TUQ, is that Pakistanis are mature enough to reject those who try to overturn their Democracy, as fragile as it is. It will likely be remembered as another nightmare in Pakistani history. Violent flashbacks of PTV being held hostage, rioters breaking the gates of the Parliament, threatening mass graves, and taking over security of Pakistans most sensitive areas will haunt many for a while. Not to mention the not so eloquent, often bizarre, and horrifying speeches threatening violence should be studied in depth to analyze how Pakistan was thankfully saved from a big disaster!
