During the Day Eris is a child of Zeus, not Nyx. During the Night Eris is a child of Nyx, not Zeus. Like all dualism the light:dark dichotomy is an illusion. The ancient Greeks understood how to make the illusionary difference between light and dark work for them. Zeus and light and order and hierarchy and the written word and politics were reserved for day. Nyx and darkness and chaos and freedom and religion and dance were reserved for the night. Neither was greater; each ebbed and flowed. -- Plastick and Discordian
