EFC8 today and I’ve never looked forward to Fight Day as much as - TopicsExpress

EFC8 today and I’ve never looked forward to Fight Day as much as this one for many many reasons. It’s great that our Junior team will be starting off the event and the talent and promise that is in the squad is great to see. The first 2 lads, Daniel Back and Jake Jones, started off in the Little Dragons classes and are now a solid part of the Junior squad who can move, kick and punch beyond their years. Daniel Leask made his mark in his debut fight earlier this year and has a work rate second to none. Jake “The Rock” Hudson needs no introduction to EFC and it’s great to see him back in the ring again. Last man out, Eliot “super foot” Manning, brings a lot of flair to his fighting and we are looking forward to seeing him do this today. A great team! Hebburn’s James Middleton starts off in the individual fight card and this is another lad that shows great movement beyond his years. David Bryant is first up for the Seniors and has looked great in training over the past few weeks. Really looking forward to him being back to his best. Laura Burnett is next on the card and is in great shape and looking to put on the great display she is capable of. Gareth Longstaff has the rematch he wanted against a good fighter. This I feel will be one of the fights of the night. Everybody at KL knows how much this lad puts into his training. Andy Hudson follows straight after and the best way I can describe him is he’s like vintage wine as he gets better with age! He’s looking great in training and at his new weight. Nathan McCarthy is our first Title fight of the night, which I know everybody will agree is well deserved and against a good opponent. Have to say, the ammo Nathan now has is tremendous! Another fight of the night I reckon. Finally Jamie Moore and his World Title fight. It’s been a long training camp, with a few things happening that can only be expected due to the length of time spent preparing. This has seen Jamie more determined than ever and I know those that have been involved in his training camp will agree that his work in the gym, the ring and on the road has been second to none like the true pro he is. Through this, he is now in the best condition both mentally and physically I have ever seen. I don’t feel I have to say good luck to the fighters as each and every one of them has trained hard to their capabilities, so luck does not really come into it. Just do what you’re capable of and do yourselves and all of Kuei-Ling proud!!
