ENGINE MALFUNCTION STOPS BARONE Sicklerville, NJ (June 24, 2014) – On Saturday, June 21, Mike Barone’s pursuit of the 2014 Spirit Dodge Big Block Modified title at Bridgeport Speedway was dealt a severe impediment. During a warm-up session prior to racing, Barone’s car showed a puff of smoke and he pulled off the track. “I felt a vibration and shut the engine off,” stated a sullen Barone. In the pit area, a major malfunction of the engine was confirmed by the team. With their only Big Block Modified engine sidelined for an undetermined amount of time, Mike Barone Racing is looking for an engine marketing partner for the foreseeable future.
