Elizabeth Jans needs urgent advice. She posted: My pet Basset hound, female is 3 years old.She is constantly been affected by a skin disease where here furs falls off in clumps .There are deep red patches on her axils and paws which she keeps licking and later they are spotted with blood stains. Her under belly erupts in rashes; she loses all appetite. This has been going on and off. Her doc treats her with medicines; symptoms vanish for a week to come back with greater fury.The vet did a skin scrap but no results were shared with us expect that it is a chronic skin disease.We groom her, de-worm her systematically.High doses of medicines are given to her but I find no change. Am pained as its difficult for us to see her suffer. We live in Neyveli- Tamilnadu. Can you suggest anything, anyone who can help us?!!
