Ellicott High School Track and Field News: First of all: A big thank you to manager Gabby Painter, our running manager Kiel McIntyre, and to John Moore for all of your hard work and dedication. We could not be successful without you. Our track and field team competed in the El Paso County Small Schools Championship Meet on 26 April 2014 at the St Mary’s Grace Center. Some of the many highlights are as follows: Jacob Crist: 3rd in high Jump and 6th in the 400 meter dash Boys 4x200 meter relay: 2nd place Scottie Paddock: 1st in long jump, 3rd triple jump, 5th 200 meter dash Dillon Harvey: 2nd in triple jump and 8th in long jump Joseph Allen: 8th in 200 meter dash Co-ed Throwers relay team of Angelina Garduno, Dillon Harvey, Chris Cimino, and Dakota Howe placed 2nd Angelina Garduno: 12th in the 100 meter dash Sami Million: 11th in the 800 meter run Girls 4x100 meter relay: 8th place MacKenzie Van Esselstine: 11th in long jump Our entire team worked very hard and hopefully had some fun along the way. All of this was accomplished the day after the Cougar Classic: A 9 hour meet at Garry Berry Stadium the day before. Our team stepped up and performed to the very best of their ability. Hawks do Fly!
