Art lovers can explore the work of one of the greatest Italian masters of the High Renaissance, Cinquecento, Lorenzo Lotto (Lotto Lorenzo). Lorenzo Lotto was born May 15, 1480 in Venice, a merchant family. He studied painting in art workshops at Alvise Vivarini (1445-1505) and Giovanni Bellini (1430-1516). The first mention of the work of Lorenzo Lotto refers to 1503, when the artist worked in Treviso, a small town north of Venice. Bragodarya patronage of the local bishop, Bernardo de Rossi, Lorenzo served numerous orders to write altarpieces in local churches. Simultaneously Lotto wrote secular portraits of the local nobility. Working in the district of Marche, the artist became well acquainted with the work of Luca Signorelli and Melotstso da Forli.
