Every year the leadership of the ministry tosses around the idea of doing something big for the yearly anniversary and every year as the date approaches, Rev. Doug & Sonia Taylor reduce the ideas to (simple). It’s a long and expensive year to keep things going and we try to get the most bang for the buck and of course when you dont have many bucks you dont have much of a bang. (JUST KIDDING) However all joking aside, we do try to be very conservative with each donation that is made to this ministry. Anyone who has made a donation over the last 20 years in any way, shape, or manor, has helped to keep the doors of this ministry open to the children. We have not invested anything into a building, steeple, or stained-glass window. Every resource whether it be big or small has gone directly to serving the children who attend. The Taylors started the ministry back in 1995 in the basement of their home in a residential area of town. Since those days the Taylor’s have had to incorporate and become a faith based non-profit as well as become ordained into the ministry. It was in 1997 that the ministry felt it needed to have a permanent facility and purchased the chapel that is located today at 291 Bates Street.
