Evidence that it is warm enough to grow beautiful things ...somewhere. As I go about my daily life I think I sometimes take for granted the lovely displays of fresh flowers that greet me as I walk into places like Trader Joes etc.. Today each one fairly jumped out at me, like a treasured friend I havent seen in ages but missed greatly. I couldnt help stopping to look, touch, and smell them (not that I do this to friends I bump into ..very often ;) ) I suspect I missing the warmth of summer has something to do with how happy I am to see them.
