FOOD FOR THOUGHT: Faithfully Firm Read Daniel 11:1 through 12:13 With flattery he will corrupt those who have violated the covenant, but the people who know their God will firmly resist him (Daniel 11:32). The vision in this chapter reveals the incredible revelation of what will happen to future nations in centuries to come. It shows that God is all-knowing and in control. Daniel was warned that evil forces would come and desecrate the temple worship. Yet, in the midst of affliction, there would be a remnant of people who would remain faithful to God. They would influence other Jews to resist and fight against the coming evil. Even though the world today seems far from God, He is not far from His righteous ones. Are you willing to make your life count for the Lord? Will you remain faithful when you face hardships, disappointments, or judgment? God rejoices when His people declare His truth, encourage other believers, assist those in need, and resist the influences of evil. Be determined to know and obey God’s Word. Then your life will be firmly established in His hands. Prayer Suggestion: Lord, help me remain faithful to You.
