*** FOUND - ABANDONED / STOLEN & DUMPED? *** This little lad wandered into our garden a few weeks ago, and hung around in distress. Hes approx 6 months old. As we live near a farm, I wondered if it was one of the farm (feral cats) that was injured, but when I caught him with food, he was tame to the touch. Were in North Elkington, and theres no way he got here by foot from Louth or Ludford ... he was to clean. Ive checked with everyone around, the Vets and local websites etc - but no one is claiming him. So, I assume hes been dumped near the farm and the bigger cats have chased him away, where he then found our place and was too hungry to run away - and too young to know how to hunt (never been shown by his mum either) We have two female cats already, and the youngest really doesnt like the fact theres someone in her house, so cant keep him ourselves. But hes litter trained, very very affectionate and almost rag-doll in the way hell tolerate handling and cuddles. He likes to be where you are, and can get in among your feet if he thinks theres a chance food is involved. Will go outside and stick around wherever you are (I think hes scared hes going to be abandoned again) but wouldnt recommend him to anyone elderly who might get tripped by him in the kitchen. They grow out of this phase after a year or so anyway. So, if youve been looking to give a little lad who had a bad start the safe, secure and loving home he deserves - we will keep him til he finds you. If youd like to home him, we can keep him til after Christmas if you prefer, and will give him with his litter tray, food and litter to get you both off to a start. Oh, and hes been wormed and de-flead etc.
