The characters are well drawn, the dialogue authentic, and the action is cop tough. This story twists and turns and along the way Detective Sargent Slowater discovers then understands mysteries about herself, life, love and most of all, friendship.” By Retired Critic “Aya Walksfar has done it again! This is an engaging story with believable characters and a well-thought-out plot. I love stories with strong female characters and this is a good one.” By booklover “A very good detective police mystery story. I read these types of stories for the fun of escape, kind of like some people might watch soap opera. This story is much better written than many big name authors. The characters have real depth, and the dialogue sounds true and helps make the story. I found myself really wanting to know what happens to these people. There is lots of daily life detail that helps pull me into the scene. Some parts are more gruesome than is usually my preference, but in this case I am glad I somewhat skimmed over the most unsettling parts to see the way the rest of the story develops. I will be reading more of Ms Walksfar’s books.” By George A. Winters This blog post can be found at allmysterynewsletter/?p=11155
