FRIDAY FREE FOOD FOR FRIENDS FREAKING FREETHINKING Vol 91 (late edition) THE FALL and FALL OF KESHI - GRACE TO GRASS Finally Ive been vindicated over and over again,even one more time once again. My LORD has vindicated me. This Sunday was a special thanksgiving for me. I warned men when we won AFCON that the Super Eagles were overrated and our AFCON win down to a flash of individual brilliance and pure luck,a smile perhaps from the football gods { like Denmark -Euro92; Greece Euro 2004, Zambia AFCON 2012,&Chelsea UCL 2012 } and not so much from excellent team play, cohesion or tactical input from the then coach - Keshi. Individual brilliance and pure luck can only carry a team so far and not sustainable. I wasnt impressed by our performance when we won AFCON. I didnt get carried away by d initial Keshi victories was that it wasnt purely based on team performance. Unfortunately some just look at results.! I was proud of d result but football sometimes is more than one result. Keshi did not impact any pattern of play. He failed to develop a core of capable players who can grow together en improve from tournament to tournament. Rather he chose to war with his best players like IK Uche, Peter Osaze Odemwingie amongst others. Yes it was true he discovered some good players. Qudos to him. He also had very controversial players that dont even worth being in a team B like Chigozie AGBIM, Azubuike Egwuekwe, Gabriel Reuben, Michael Uchebor, Nwofor, Ameobi and some others. Can u imagine benchwarmers in our team (when first team players were not included) and players that couldnt tie up a starting shirt with a council team in scotland,player that was still a bench warmer in a Serie B team. His selections were at best biased&controversial. I warned Nigerians in an article The Boiling Frog Syndrome that we were like the frog in boiling water,we better got out before its too late! Didnt I? Rather than appreciate the facts in my article,I was being called names by Keshis Hossanna of praise worshippers. Who is to be ashamed now? Me or them? Judge for yourselves. Raising issues or questioning certain team decisions and tactics doesnt mean that one is celebrating the gain of the countrys opponents nor celebrating the countrys loss. Pride goes before a fall. One idiot will be calling himself Big Boss when even the World Cup winning coaches are still as humble as Buddhist monk, here otherwise is the pattern. I felicitate with Ike Uche on this magnificent moment in time. Disregard Nostra II to ur peril ! God rules in the affairs of men !
