FROM MR. KARL CHAN - PRESIDENT PVF This will be my last thoughts for today on our volleyball issues as I focus my attention on securing the safety of my Family, Business and Property this coming days. To our National Team Volleyball Athletes and Coaches, thank you for your total support with all the endeavors we have gone through this past 18 months. We hope that in your hearts you will still carry the passion and commitment that you have undertaken for the dream of bringing back glory to Philippine Volleyball. With your gesture, you all deserve the highest praise and adulation of the volleyball community and MY total respect. Mabuhay kayong lahat! There were news that we have misled you to think that we had the authority to form the national team... would we be that stupid to do otherwise if we really didnt have the authority to do so? Isnt it the mandate of the NSA/NF/PVF to do so? Wasnt there a RESOLUTION indicating that one of the primary mandates of the president/federation is to form the national team? Does forming the National Team require consultation with all the stakeholders? This is ALL bad politics... if you want something dont resort to such tactics... be TRUE and spill it out... dont hide behind your power or position or money... if you have the heart and intention then show it. We were not born yesterday... we were not born without brains to think... BUT, if they said we misled you THEN we are sorry... TRULY We have misled you to think that people can change... that we can make a difference... WE still hold true to that vision... but as I see it our culture will never change... CRABS... CROCS... PIRANHAS... will still be rampant among us. Instead of being like ANTS who work together for a common goal and not resting until the work is done... we are introduce to these kinds of animals. For that we are SORRY. We may not have the flare of a PSL or Vleague, or the power of a PSC or POC, but what the PVF has is the HEART... it may not be enough... but it is how I was raised up to believe... if you put your heart, mind and soul into something you believe in then in the eyes of the optimist... ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE... it may be a dream to think of such things BUT do we become pessimists and think otherwise... I may not be a POLITICIAN but Ive gone through a lot of politics and believe me this is not new to me... you want us to compromise? We CAN but compromise for the betterment of volleyball... not the other way around... not for SELF INTEREST. For our volleyball community, WE too are sorry to have misled you. Misled you to think that we were the capable to revive our beloved Philippine Volleyball... or HAVE WE? We didnt do this alone... many people were part of this revival... we never said that we did this on OUR OWN... one thing the Lord taught me is to be HUMBLE and I teach that to my kids and all my Tacloban City VB athletes. This effort is SHARED by many... I believe many of my new FB friends just heard of me or knew me through this issues. Everything the PVF does is the collective effort of the many and it will continue to be so. WHO ARE WE TO BE PROUD??? WE are doing this out of the PURE JOY and PASSION and the HEART to bring back Philippine volleyball to the volleyball community... not for the PROMISE of FAME, FORTUNE, MONEY or POSITION... because these all means nothing in the end... WE will be judged on the GOOD WORKS and FAITH that we have put it. YOU, the volleyball community will be our ultimate judge. Lastly, WE are sorry for those who would put us under the bus, stab us behind our backs, discredit us for their own selfish ambitions... YOU be the judge our beloved volleyball community... as far as WE are concerned we will still SERVE you to the best of our abilities and capacity. if the time comes that we are not around anymore... we still ask you to support without ceasing the development of Philippine Volleyball towards achieving the ultimate goal of PRESTIGE. GOD BLESS US ALL. ONE for PHILIPPINE VOLLEYBALL.
