Fair skies today and our last warm day for the foreseeable future, - TopicsExpress

Fair skies today and our last warm day for the foreseeable future, as a dry cold front will swing through the area by later today. Highs today will top out in the upper 60s to around 70°, but once that front pushes through by tonight, well see a wind shift to the northwest and the cool air comes funneling in. Overnight lows by Sunday morning will drop into the mid to upper 40s, and highs will only be in the mid to upper 50s. Dont worry, it will feel much cooler than that as there will be a stiff northwest breeze at 15-20mph with gusts over 30mph. Think thats cold? Monday morning will bring us our first taste of temps in the 30s, possibly seeing some upper 20s in the Pine Barrens! Brrrrrrr... Ive included the Global Ensemble Forecast System (GEFS) 16 day temperature outlook for Islip. No warmth out there to speak of. Batten down the hatches...winter is on the way.
