Fascinating night of shamanic dreams about North Korea. I have no connection I know of with the place but it keeps cropping up in my shamanic work Several dreams. First I was with a group of shamans in Mongolia on the steppes and a ragged poor shaman from North Korea walked over to us from the distance, we watched him come. He explained who he was and where he came from and asked for our help. Then a whole long cycle of dreams where I was in North Korea doing ceremonies and then some where I was with a North Korean army officer of very very high rank who said to me they needed the shamans to make the land fertile and the people healthy. He encouraged me to do the shamanic work I was doing in my dream there. I said to him how come, because they had abolished spirituality, and he said yes, but the people still held with it under the surface, and they would use what ever worked because they were desperate. He came to me to do shamanic work thinking it was a pragmatic fix for the infertility of the country, but all the time he was telling me this, my spirits were talking to me saying, do as he asks, the work will wake the land spirits and then the shamans will come back, he dies not realise the deep outcome of what he is asking you to do. Its like he was asking for as shamanic fix, alongside all the other fixes they were doing, unaware that the shamanic fix would do things way beyond what they wanted and actually subvert them. The dreams have left me with a whole load of vivid images and deep knowings I cant easily put into words. I have to ponder on them. I have no doubt these were not personal process dreams, these were some of my shamanic dreams and what I dreamed was actually happening. Such visual memories, complete with emotions and sensations. That Korean shaman walking up to us on the steppes in Mongolia and telling us he had come all the way from Korea, through Manchuria, to find us and to ask for help because we were connected across the grasslands with that place, our ancestors were connected. He told me when I did shamanic work there I should dress like a North Korean shaman, when I work for the army there, and my spirits gave me a new drum, a metal rimmed thin drum like some Manchu shamans use. Oh god I just realised I need the blacksmith to make me a new drum frame from iron I see the drum, it is made of iron, it has iron jingles and streamers of the 5 colours, yellow, green, white, blue and red I have no feel of affinity with Korean shamanism, Buryat and Mongolian yes, lots, but not at all with Korean. What on earth are my spirits up to and wanting of me? Sorry, long post, my ipad was by my bed and Ive used you all as my dream journal as Ive just woken up So, a new iron drum..............
