Federal Fair Housing Act adopted in 1968 protects familial status.. which is defined as a persons household type in terms of marriage.. existing or prospective children (HUD.gov). In such a small community where we live.. I find it appalling that any person would blatantly comment for all to read on a discussion page that a mobile home would not be rented because a family had too many children. Whether this was stated out of ignorance or simply a non-caring attitude.. it was discrimination and a complaint with the Housing Administration should be filed.
