Filipinos should wake up. They should be informed that Jesus of Nazareth was a Jew, and thus He did not look black. The image of the Black Nazarene was NOT an image of a Jew. But many are blinded that even the image of a dog or cat if called by the name “Jesus” is immediately worshipped without a question. That is fanaticism. Setting aside the question of ethnicity of Christ, the Bible is vehemently opposed against every worship that follows vain imagination of men. God Himelf explicitly prohibits the making and bowing of man to any image or idol: “Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me.” (Ex. 20: 4,5) https://youtube/watch?v=WUxMHjeumhs
