Finally Pakistan comesinto the party. Umar Akmal(94) and Mohammed Hafeez(63) entertaining partnership of 102 runs accelerated the run rate after the slow start leads Pakistan score to the highest total in the ground(176-4). Asusual quickfire opening by Proteans with another 50+ partnership in response, Proteans failed to capitalise on the quickfire start. Duminys late strike proved to be too late for Proteans as they lost the match by 6 runs. Asusual Afridi & Ajmal shines for Pakistan & Bhattis disciplined line restricted Proteas to 170-6. Pakistan level the series 1-1 and hope they found out the solutions for their batting collapse . This is one of the Pakistans much improved show in recent past. Umar Akmal at his best started to accelerate the run rate with his entertaining knock of 64 and well supported by his skipper with his 63. Pakistan bowlers are too good in this series also. oN the contrary Proteas are very inconsistent with ball. Yesterday Protean bowlers are at their worst. Even Steyn cant control the run flow and other bowlers leaking extras helped for Pakistan to capitalise on the good partnership. Amla & De Kock are looked better with their consistent show after another half century partnership. Remaining all top order batsmen failed except Duminy who shows some promise to make it as thrilling encounter. Proteas need to work much on their middle order to capitalise the quickfire start by openers. Hope will see thrilling 3 match ODI series between Pakistan and South Africa going to start on 24th November. Hope both teams will look equally strong in the ODI series.
