If you know how to take care of pet fish - I have 10-12 FREE cold water fish to give away. I have about 40 fish, thirty of them were born in my pond two summers ago. This is the third winter weve brought them indoors. They spend the summer outside and then we bring them in for the winter. If you want fish but dont know how to care for them I am more than happy to help. I am giving away the newer hatch because they have grown to the point of being too big to keep (or I need to buy another large tank - I already have two tanks that total 500 gallons - that is enough to keep up with :-)! ). Rule of thumb is you need a gallon of water for every two inches of fish, these fish are about 4-6 inches long, so if you took 10-12 fish you would need a 80-100 gallon tank - and a good filter. I use Marineland 530- really is the best filter Ive ever used. Their colors are really vibrant. The dark brownish fish are wildtype Goldfish. They will turn dark black, and then to the color of regular goldfish. Is fun to watch the colors change over the winter. They take up to 3 years to turn color.
