"First meeting of the Azizul Hind NGO on Sunday" Aziz Burney The - TopicsExpress

"First meeting of the Azizul Hind NGO on Sunday" Aziz Burney The newspaper was not available anywhere on Bijnor route yesterday. Today some people visited me from Faridabad and complained to me that they had not been getting the newspaper for the last ten days. The newspaper could not reach Dasna, Masuri either, not even Jama Masjid New Delhi, though the newspaper had been dispatched to all the places. In a few places the rumours that the newspaper was not published in the first place did the rounds. It is the God’s grace and your best wishes that no newspaper gained so much popularity as has Azizul Hind in such a short period of time. I knew it well that those who had hatched conspiracies to stop my pen will also try to prevent the newspaper from reaching the readers. Obviously, they will use every trick in the book to prevent the newspaper from reaching you so that the newspapers that became there mouthpiece in one form or the other may reach you despite your not liking it. They succeeded in it to some extent because when the hawker throws the newspaper at your doorstep before sunrise you never know. When you get up and do not find your favourite newspaper then you call me up. I receive all the phone calls from 6 to 10 in the morning; respond to all the calls and for me this is also a means of communication with my community. Deploying some people at some places so that they keep an eye on the bundles to stop them from being lifted by others is not easy as the newspaper is not sent to a small number of places. The newspaper is supplied from Delhi to almost 190 places by taxi and to some other places by train. Then the newspaper also reaches from big towns to small towns and villages which is arranged by the agent of the town. Therefore, if the newspaper does not reach Bijnor then it also does not reach Dhampur, Nagina and Sahaspur. Only I know how I have dared to bring out this newspaper though it was, and is, beyond my financial capabilities. I am neither a big businessman nor a politician. Definitely, I had, and still have, the conviction that I will get the support of the community and it will come in all circumstances. I got it beyond my expectations. I am not publishing this newspaper to make it the mouthpiece of some capitalist or political party. Therefore, it is useless to hope that they will help. It is not acceptable either. Whatever is to be done has to be done by you. How the newspaper can reach you has to be decided by you. If need arises, the alternative of sending vehicles on each route can also be discussed. Obviously this will also be possible by the efforts of the community. Even after the newspaper reaches you and your agent does not give you your favorite newspaper and instead compels you to read another newspaper, then how you will get your favorite newspaper has also to be decided by you. It goes without saying that this newspaper is not a mere newspaper but a movement and so it has to succeed despite all the constraints and obstacles. Therefore, I humbly request you to sit together and discuss how you can ensure that the newspaper reaches every town, every village and every mosque and madrasa. With that in view, I have called a meeting at my residence D-188, Sector 55, Noida on Sunday the 6th October and invited all those who are associated or want to be associated with Azizul Hind or this movement in any way. You are welcome as a reporter, as an agent, local manager, well wisher, patron etc. In the beginning the publication of Azizul Hind from day one till today will be discussed and it will be seen if the purpose with which Azizul Hind was brought out is being fulfilled. If there are some shortcomings, your suggestions and advices will be sought to make it better. The pressure for the Hindi daily is very high. Arrangements are being made for the publication of a separate Hindi daily from the next month or some Hindi pages may be included in the Urdu daily Azizul Hind. This will also be discussed in the meeting. Azizul Hind also wants to establish an NGO. The final decision will be taken in this meeting. What the affiliate organizations should be, what their objectives should be and what amendments should be made will also be discussed. Therefore, those who want to be associated with the organization may also come. The newspaper and the NGO are not separate entities to me. The objective of the two is the same. Definitely the purview of the organization will be wider than that of the newspaper and this newspaper will also act as the mouthpiece of the NGO. The fundamental objective of the establishment of the organization is achieving justice especially for those who have been victimized after the independence and their youth have been punished for their innocence. And now the fact has also been admitted by our home minister that innocent Muslim youth have been incarcerated. In this regard he has written to all the chief ministers which shows how badly the community is in need of justice. Whether it is Azizul Hind or Rashtriya Sahara under my editorship, the mission of my journalism has been and will be this. The purpose behind the establishment of the NGO is also the same. I know the organization will face opposition more than the newspaper and obstacles will be created. Therefore, we should be mentally prepared to face all this. The newspaper is doing its work and God willing will continue its work. But today the whole community cannot read Urdu newspapers. Even after the publication of the Hindi daily it cannot be said for sure that this voice is reaching the whole community because we live in every region in India from Kashmir to Kanya Kumari. The branch of the NGO will be established even where the newspaper does not reach and the activists of the organization will be present there. When after a prolonged silence, I decided to return to the field of journalism in view of the national needs, I had introduced my newspaper as Aziz Burney ka akhbar. The reason for this was that the readers in the whole country knew the daily Rashtriya Sahara as Aziz Burney’s newspaper, even one and half years after my separation with it because my name was published as the Group Editor. I introduced my newspaper as Aziz Burney’s newspaper to make the readers think that if this is Aziz Burney’s newspaper then it is clear that now Rashtriya Sahara is not Aziz Burney’s newspaper. I had some other titles with which I could have brought out my newspaper. But I had to impress upon my readers the fact that if they want to read Aziz Burney then they should read this newspaper. No problem if it was criticized. The daily newspaper was made available to you with the purpose that the readers are not confused. The same can also be said about the naming of the NGO. By announcing the name BRSS, I created a flutter in the enemy camps and those who have been running an organization called the RSS might have been forced to think that for a journey which took 112 years, the formula had been found out to make it a failure in 100 days. So the message has already been sent through the name. As the initial name of the newspaper was Aziz Burney but finally the newspaper was brought out with the name Azizul Hind, the organization will also come into existence with a different name. If I say that our purpose was fulfilled to an extent when the home minister decided to write to the chief ministers asking them not to detain innocent Muslim youth under terror charges as it was the call of justice. We want peace and unity in the country and want to uphold the composite culture and the democracy and security of the country. The purpose is not acrimony or battle but our goal is justice. What policy should be adopted to claim justice will be decided in the meeting. For the last 65 years we bowed down our head in humility and they struck down our head to show what their attitude was. However, I humbly and very politely say to our people that we have to abstain from any violence as the Quran has taught us so. The holy Prophet (pbuh) has also preached us so. But we should also remember the battles in which the holy prophet (pbuh) participated. Off course, attempts were always made to avert war and even in the battle field of Karbala, Hadhrat Imam Hussain tried to avert bloodshed by making the offer to retire to India but when war was forced on him, by taking even six months old Ali Asghar he drove home the point that in the battle between truth and falsehood, this community can fight along with its sick, women and children. Therefore, it should not be thought that even if we are not at fault, we will be held guilty and we will accept the decision. It will no longer remain so. Justice will be achieved. I want to have a detailed discussion with all the representatives who will be the flag bearers of this movement. I know that a particular section understands that whatever I have been writing or speaking as a journalist does not go down well with the RSS and those driving a wedge among the members of the nation. Therefore, I am mentally prepared for all this. Whatever the obstacles and criticism, when a decision has been taken, it has been taken. There is no question of backtracking and no worrying about the end. I have full faith in Allah and trust on his slaves. If the aim is noble then no power can prevent us from achieving success. Note: Participants should inform me through sms, email or by telephone in advance by 4 P.M. Friday so that the arrangements for them could be made. They should also inform us about the number of delegates. Read AZIZULHIND news in URDU and HINDI azizulhind epaper.azizulhind/ epaper.azizulhind/fullstory.php?id=1859
