Folks…many have called and asked about Dr. Carol Goff and her sudden illness. Following is a note written by her husband Rodney. Dr. Goff is in the ICU of the Medical Center here in Macon. I am sending this email in an effort to let you know about my wife, Carol. I am sorry that I have not gotten back with so many of our friends and family since Carol was hospitalized on September 8,2014 due to a brain aneurysm. This past week has been one of the most challenging our family has ever faced! We are so thankful for the out pouring of love, kindness and prayers we have received. I am very grateful to report that Carol had a successful surgery on Tuesday, September 9,2014 by Dr. Arthur Girgorian and Dr. Richard Rowe the performing Neurologists. The surgery lasted for approximately 6 hours without complications of a stroke. Carol is communicating well and is able to move her arms, fingers, hands, legs and feet. We are very hopeful and expect that she will have a full recovery. Everyday we are counting our blessings knowing that the road is up and we must keep climbing. As many of you know Carol is a resilient and very determined lady. I can attest to that fact after 42 years together!
