Dear Brothers & Sisters, Gaza endured the bloodiest day of the two-week conflict between Hamas and Israel on Sunday, with an Israeli assault in a residential area causing carnage. Truly we are saddened and deeply affected by the recent event in Gaza. For one will not be a true believer unless he loves for his brother what he loves for himself. And nothing more greater than peace and stability for our Muslim Brothers in Gaza, Palestine. For Allah swt to deliver them from these moments of distress and calamity and to live a life far from fear and prosecution. Allah swt said in the Holy Quran: And seek help through patience and prayer, and indeed, it is difficult except for the humbly submissive (to Allah). [Surah Al-Baqarah: 45] Thus Pergas supported by Lembaga Pentadbir Masjid Sultan is asking all to join us in a special Solatul Hajat for the plight of our Muslim brothers in Palestine, Syria, Myanmar and other parts of the world including the recent tragedy of MH17. For truly in Allah we trust and only in Allah we seek patience and strength and submit to His Will. This is a request we ask all to join us and together we bow our heads and make doas for our brothers in Gaza.
