Freedom can only live and die in the soul, its truest form is exercised through our choice of expression. The moments of happiness and kindness we allow ourselves to express during times of injustice demonstrate no one can really control us, we are human and we choose to belong to each other. We will peacefully persevere for all that stands for in those ways that remain true to our kindred hearts. Shared laughter and compassion are our strongest protest during times of oppression, it demonstrates our refusal to compromise our humanity and reminds those in power that their time of exertion is nothing but a fleeting moment of immaturity in the face of the force that has nursed us to divinity and brought us home to ourselves since our birth. Humanity operates above and beyond any control mechanism of any government and throughout the course of history it has battled and conquered many. It is something which they can never dictate, dominate, oppress or appease and it is this fact that makes them lash out like angry toddlers. Our ability to rise above their taunts reminds them of their insignificance and of the internal depth of real power and strength, it reminds them this power and strength is within all of us. Our humanity will only grow stronger in the wake of challenge, the more we are dehumanised the more we learn about what it means to be human. Peaceful in heart and powerful in unity, we won’t be broken.
