Friends i know ive been putting up too many posts today..i put some effort into this one so im reposting it: The Roman empire didnt perceive any religion to be a threat except Christianity, Why? Because to be a follower of Christ originally meant that you would live a life directly in contradiction to the established order..The worlds way is to conquer and control by fear and this is practiced pretty much to this very day by the world superpowers..(i saw American companies controlling trade even in far away New Zealand) Christianity propagated the opposite which was to lay your life down for your brother and share your wealth..The system of this world in politics and economics is ruled and controlled by Satans method (the lust and greed for power)..There is not one government or power in this world that adheres to the Christian worldview.. DC Talk sang a song in the 90s which would best describe and differentiate the Christian worldview from the rest..Kamikaze my death is gain. Ive been marked by my maker a peculiar display. The high and lofty they see me as weak çause i wont live and die by the power they seek. ( from the album Jesus freak) A real follower of Christ automatically becomes the enemy and this worlds object of ridicule..If the church and the state get along like a house on fire this obviously means that the church is not really its true self or that it has compromised with its principles (Unless the state heads promote the Kingdom of God. Is that even possible before the Lord returns?)..The greatest irony in the Bible to me in this context is 1 Timothy 2:2 Pray for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. It is not the praying part that bothers me but the life of peace and quiet with the established order- and this coming from the apostle who was writing this from Jail because he himself was representative of the Christian worldview..No matter how hard we may try to maintain peace with the world, the world itself could never be at peace with the Christian worldview. The head of John the Baptist on a plate represents what the world would do to the kingdom radical...
