From The National Weather Service: Increased fire danger today... A dry airmass will remain in place today...With minimum relative humidity levels dropping below 30 percent...To as low as 20 to 25 percent along and west of Interstate 95. Sustained wind speeds around 15 mph with gusts as high as 25 mph are also expected. When combined with low fuel moisture... These meteorological conditions will lead to increased fire danger. Virginia residents are reminded that open burning is prohibited before 4 pm each day through April 30th. Residents are urged to exercise caution handling any potential ignition source... Including machinery...cigarettes and matches. Be sure to properly discard all smoking materials. Any dry grasses and tree litter that ignite will have the potential to spread quickly.
