GIFTING FORWARD YOUR GOODNESS “I work as a part time CASHIER. The other day I was very DISCOURAGED feeling the Lord was distant from me. A woman and her daughter were next on line. I acknowledged her, asked if she had any coupons, etc. and continued scanning her purchases. All of a sudden I heard, ‘YOU ARE A GIFT.’ It was a bit muffled, then, I heard her say it again and assumed she was talking to her daughter. The THIRD TIME she said it, I looked up and asked, ‘Are you talking to ME? ‘ There was such softness in her eyes as she answered, Yes I am. Quite taken aback I said, ‘Why would you say that to ME?’ She simply said, ‘Because YOU NEED TO KNOW that.’ A Godwink I said to myself! Yet, out loud I said, ‘God knew I NEEDED TO HEAR THAT TODAY. Thank you very much!’ With that she took her bags and left.” Trisha Taylor •••• What little effort it takes to LIFT SOMEONE’S SPIRITS with a WORD OF KINDNESS.
