GTLF2014, 28 Nov - 30 Nov Will be held in Whiteaways Arcade this year and is themed Capital. There is a lineup of around 30 international and local authors. The programme is larger this year with simultaneous forums, classrooms and talks happening. The full programme will be up on georgetownlitfest by 1 Oct and you can follow facebook/georgetownlitfest for up-to-date news on the festival. All forums and talks are free. Classrooms or lunch with award-winning authors are ticketed at around RM20, and charity comedy night will be ticketed too (price and venue TBA). Official launch date: 28 Nov with Chief Minister at Whiteaways Arcade (time TBA). NOTE: This is a PGT sponsored event and Id appreciate it if most of you can simply be a participant. In-between Arts Festival, 1 Dec - 3 Dec Will be held at the Botanic Gardens this year and it centres around sports. There will be games, sporty activities such as badminton and cycling, and very possibly a drive-in movie. More information by following them on facebook/in-betweenartsfest and most activities are free. The ticketed activities are at nominal fee. Penang Island Jazz Festival, 4 Dec - 7 Dec The 11th year of this festival will once again happen in Batu Ferringhi. And as always, there will be fringe stages as well as the ticketed main stages at RM80 per day.
