Get your hankies. We all know it is Christmas. Christmas is a time for giving and reflection and today a very, very special cat was given the ultimate gift; a home. Chezter came from a country hoarder in a very bad shape. He has chronic infections from un treated ear mites and was diagnosed with lymphoma as a result of the mites. He is also FIV positive. The only thing he didnt need was a dental. But a more cheerful, affectionate cat would be hard to find. We all fell in droves for him and Fee who came to adopt a kitten met him and fell head over heels for Chezter. Fee was warned about Chezters condition and went home to think and the answer last night was a loud YES, I want to give him a home. I knew that. Chezter may have 6 months to a few years left depending on the cancer but he will before he passes live surrounded by the most loving family, he will have a little kitten brother who is not yet ready to go, there is a cat brother already at home to welcome him, both vaccinated. Fee and her family know what Christmas means, the true meaning, and it is not shopping, it is adopting. Many tears flowed here today and the final sign was that Chezter actually went into his carrier himself. Bless you, Fee, all I wanted for Christmas was Chezters home.
