Go Carz Statement Following the recent alleged incident It has been suggested on our Facebook pages that this alleged incident involved one of vehicles and driver. We treat these type of allegations with the upmost seriousness. What we have done - We at Go Carz have contacted the police so that we can find out further information on the alleged incident. The facts according to the police….. The incident has been reported involving a particular vehicle. According to police information this vehicle DOES NOT match the description of any vehicle, make, model & colour operated by Go Carz. We have always worked very closely to the police and local authority. I would like to clarify particular a particular point. ALL our drivers before being issued a licence by the local authority undertake a DBS enhanced check, formerly known as a CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) check or previous to that, a Police Check. This is initially applied for by our local authority. In the case of Shrewsbury & Telford this is Shropshire Council. It is worthy of note that over recent months we have been the victims of smear campaigns from rival taxi companies & their staff, (these taxi companies are required by law in the same way as our ourselves to employ the services of licensed drivers that undergo exactly the same police checks as we, at Go Carz do) We ask you to question the validity of any allegations and their origins when reading or listening. Our drivers work very hard to ensure all our passengers reach their destination under some very trying circumstances and we will continue to work with the people of Shropshire and strive to provide the best service possible.
