Gods minute devotional Nov.4th Jesus Christ said; PEACE I LEAVE WITH YOU; MY PEACE I GIVE YOU. I DO NOT GIVE TO YOU AS THE WORLD GIVES. DO NOT LET YOUR HEARTS BE TROUBLED AND DO NOT BE AFRAID. ( JOHN 14:27 *NIV ) Dear Addison, Now with all that is going on in the World today it is hard to have any peace of mind. After all, with wars and rumors of wars, terrorists, and violent weather etc happening all over the World, it is a bit unsettling to say the least! So remember that Jesus told us; YOU WILL HEAR OF WARS AND RUMORS OF WARS, BUT SEE TO IT THAT YOU ARE NOT ALARMED. SUCH THINGS MUST HAPPEN, BUT THE END IS STILL TO COME. NATION WILL RISE AGAINST NATION, AND KINGDOM AGAINST KINGDOM. THERE WILL BE FAMINES AND EARTHQUAKES IN VARIOUS PLACES. ( MATTHEW 24:6-8 ) So no doubt the Universe is unfolding as it should be. Therefore keep your mind focused on Jesus Christ for He said; I HAVE TOLD YOU THESE THINGS, SO THAT IN ME YOU MAY HAVE PEACE. IN THIS WORLD YOU WILL HAVE TROUBLE. BUT TAKE HEART! I HAVE OVERCOME THE WORLD. ( JOHN 16:33 ) So Addison, why not start each day with the following prayer, and even better yet, why not try to live by it as well. Then; LET THE PEACE OF CHRIST RULE IN YOUR HEARTS, SINCE AS MEMBERS OF ONE BODY YOU WERE CALLED TO PEACE, AND BE THANKFUL, (COLOSSIANS 3:15) and by living this prayer it will help you find true peace and serenity indeed! God, grant me the serenity To accept the things I cannot change, The courage to change the things I can, And the wisdom to know the difference. Living one day at a time, Enjoying one moment at a time, Accepting hardship as a pathway to peace; Taking, as Jesus did, this sinful World as it is, Not as I would have it; Trusting that You will make all things right If I surrender to Your will; So that I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with You Forever in the next.
