Good morning! Im waking up in the beautiful home of my friend Sarah Brooks Eilers here in Houston. Sarah is 1/2 of Houstons most successful interior design partnership: Lucas Eilers Design Associates. At the Houston Design Center event yesterday and at PaperCity Magazines Design Awards ceremony last night { which LUXE Interiors + Design/Houston sponsors }, there was an amazing array of design talent. It was so stimulating, for me personally, to talk with some of the designers here, to listen to the speakers and to find out what matters today. I was able to record wonderful video interviews with 2 of the 3 designer guest speakers, Jay Jeffers and architect Michael Imber for the G+ Interior Design Communitys 15,000 + members, Laurie Chambers Laizure. I will post those sometime very soon.. and I will make sure to tag you when I do, Alton LaDay Media: you and Sheri Roane planned an AMAZING day that was truly insightful with respect to content. Thank you for all of your hard work. I wanted to get a vid interview with Alexa Hampton, too, but she was surrounded and so I wasnt able to. { Alexa, if youd like to do this at #HPmkt, please let me know - we would love for our Communitys members to hear from you! } And to close, this picture Im attaching was recently the cover of Luxe Magazine/Houston and is the gorgeous interior design work of Lucas Eilers Design Associates partner, Sandra Lucas. Luxe featured it on their own FB Page today.. a nice surprise for Sarah and Sandy to wake up to and see! If there are two women in Houston who know more about antiques, Toma Clark Haines, I dont know who they would be. You three need to hook up!
