Good news for those considering ITE: From January next year, ITE - TopicsExpress

Good news for those considering ITE: From January next year, ITE students will have to take a mandatory foundation course as part of its new framework. The new framework, called the Career Cluster-based Curriculum Framework (CCF), aims to prepare students for a range of careers, instead of just one job. Under the framework, for example, students who take the Food Processing & Services will also take the foundation course where they will learn essential lifeskills and chemistry. In their second year, students can choose to specialise in food service, nutrition & health, food manufacturing & packaging. It is hoped that students who take the foundation course will be more versatile and resilient. In addition, year 1 NITEC students may now proceed to higher NITEC in the second year if they get a GPA of at least 3.0 in their first year of studies, instead of the current 3.5.
