Goodmorning Child Of God... What is God saying this morning. Jonah 1:1-3 Holy Bible (NIV) 1. The word of the LORD came to Jonah son of Amittai: 2. Go to the great city of Nineveh and preach against it, because its wickedness has come up before me. 3. But Jonah ran away from the LORD and headed for Tarshish. He went down to Joppa, where he found a ship bound for that port. After paying the fare, he went aboard and sailed for Tarshish to flee from the LORD. Jonah was a prophet of God, meaning he heard from God, he spoke/conversed with God. In the scripture above we see God giving Jonah specific instructions; 1. Arise 2. Go to Nineveh 3. and cry against that city... Jonah partially obeyed the instruction, yes he arose but not to go to Nineveh. Instead he fleed to Tarshish in a vain effort to run away from the presence of God. In a nutshell, he was disobedient. He probably feared because his mission was to a great city. He may have thought the task was too huge for him to accomplish. When you measure the consequences of your calling or your mission above the power of He (God) who called you, it makes your thinking/reasoning irrational. You get discouraged, you fear the unknown, your focus is misplaced. Like Jonah you begin to want to run away from the presence of God. Child of God when God instructs you do not question His ability or doubt Him, just obey. The truth you must always bear in mind that when you are totally obedient to the will of God resources become available. If God has called you trust Him, obey, serve, believe and hold on to Him in that calling. When God gives you an assignment,He gives you the grace to back you up in that your assignment. what is it that God has instructed you to do and you have not been doing it??? God Might have instructed you To be praying for your family,Church or your pastor? To be reading the bible and meditate on it. To be Holy as He is Holy. To seek Gods kingdom,and its righteousness. Child Of God, What is it that God has instructed you to do and you are not doing it? This morning God is saying. .Arise .Go and do it .And Do it better than before. Halleluyah!! Bless you Vera Vessel
