Grand Budapest Hotel is noteworthy because this is the first film that Anderson has written without a co-writer. His previous projects have seen him write the screenplay alongside Owen Wilson, Noah Baumbach, and most recently Roman Coppola, but he penned Grand Budapest entirely on his own. He’s off to a good start with the film’s cast, as Bill Murray, Edward Norton, Willem Dafoe, Adrien Brody, Harvey Keitel, Tilda Swinton, Jason Schwartzman, Jeff Goldblum, F. Murray Abraham, Jude Law, and Mathieu Amalric are all set to star, with Owen Wilson possibly taking a small role. With Moonrise Kingdom being one of his best films to date, anticipation is high for Wes Anderson’s Grand Budapest Hotel.
