Great article and I do see this happening all over today. I am doing my best to make sure my kids can solve problems on their own. I am always there to help them and I want them to succeed but they need to learn how to do things on their own. I am thankful my parents taught me to do things on my own and still remained supportive. I learned to suffer the consequences of my actions and learned how to change and make things better. I worked hard for what I have. If I needed someone to lift me up when I fell they encouraged me but taught me to solve problems on my own. In many cases kids need to learn to think on their own feet and become strong and independent individuals. Mom and dad can support them but do not need to coddle them every step of the way. In order to be successful you have to do it on your own.
